 Post subject: Adding V2000 (Video 2000) To The Database

I would love to see this format added, as I plan to start collecting V2000 prerecords soon. How does everyone else here feel?

FORMATS THAT I ALREADY COLLECT NOW IN THE DATABASE:

CED
LaserDisc - NTSC and PAL Releases.
VHD

FORMATS THAT I COLLECT THAT AREN'T COVERED IN THE DATABASE:

VCD - Hundreds of NTSC and PAL releases.
DVD - Thousands of NTSC and PAL releases.
Blu-ray - Dozens of releases.
UMD

FORMATS I AM SOON TO COLLECT (OR ARE CONSIDERING)

Betamax
DVHS
HD-DVD
MUSE HiVision
V2000

I'd say 90% of the people here have no clue what V2000 is and adding tapes to LDDb isn't in the books...

90% of the people here don't collect VHDs, but thankfully the format is part of the LDDb. We could educate people. :thumbup:

i've never heard of V2000 until this post :?
but i've never been into tape formats, i had VHS and Hi8.

Wow.....

I think they are a lot cheaper in Holland....
Don't know about shipping cost and you have Dutch subtitles (so does that Spy Today Die Tomorrow tape)
I have a about 100 V2000 tapes... Almost all are ex rental. I can remember (till 1992) that we could choose for Betamax, VHS and V2000 in the rental shop...

I haven't heard of this until the OP. If Blade Runner is on this format I would love to find a copy. :D

I hope its not as rare as the Video 8 tape. I've never been able to find another one and the only I saw when for over $100 but that was with another movie.
