I'm trying to figure out how to get in contact with a seller, who has listed a LD at 6/10 to see what the issues are with the disc. No response from the theoretical email address @lddb.com.
Reluctant to start an order since one is committing to buy according to cart instructions.
It seems like I'm missing something or there must be an easier and more direct way to do get in contact with a seller.

Good day fsteyben,

Whatever you do don't make payment until you hear from the seller.

I know by what you wrote that you woudn't anyway but, just be careful, for like you say you would like to know why the title is a 6/10.

I hope it goes well and let us all know how you get on with this purchase.

Regards from a collector.

A "Contact Seller" button would indeed be nice.
When I needed to ask a question to a seller once, I asked Julien, and he passed the message on to them.
Though that would probably be annoying if he had to do that 150 times per day.

This can be very frustrating when queries go unanswered for an unreasonable amount of time ......

What works for me as a Dealer is listing contact info in the Shop Policies section.

People can make easy contact and ask for detailed assessments, special requests,and/or inquire about photos of stock to be taken and sent for further consideration.

Very glad Julien has put together the @lddb.com addresses to help promote connections as well.

While sometimes there are delays in communication due to "Real world" concerns,it is ultimately the Dealers responsibility to respond to all queries regarding their shop in a reasonable time frame.

Hope this helps out some...........

Additionally, you can make a quick search to see if the Seller has accessed this Forum before by checking usernames here (they are kept in sync with LDDb user list):

http://forum.lddb.com/memberlist.php

Then you can simply send a PM (private message).

Julien

Just my opinion of what a 6/10 is since I have so many. Could be creased in several places on the jacket. The disc could have surface wear but has 0 effect on the movie you want to watch. Could have stickers, remains of stickers, but at 6 feet the jacket looks clean :) Lol. Actually, I look at it at 3 feet. If you see a lot of issues with the item it is a 5. THere are no stains on the jacket. There should be 0 water damage. It is a solid jacket that has wear. I would say it could have the beginning of a spine split on one side or could actually have one. You are moving into 5 range if the jacket has all of the above including 2 spine splits. That being said, the disc will play 100 percent with no rot.

Hello!

I'm slowly rolling out the new "PM site-wide" controls that will add a small envelop icon next to username of people who already visited the forum and created an account there. The icon will link their phpBB PM screen for instant access (and auto-register if the process if needed).

I cannot push non-responding sellers but the "Outbox/Sent" list of your PM box will tell you if the message was read or not.

Inactive shops are automatically closed after 180 days to keep the list up-to-date.

Hope this will help communication a little!

Julien

Yeah agree I wanted to buy some STAR TREK original TV show and I'm looking around like a headless chicken??? Where's the contact seller button? So yes a simple CONTACT SELLER BUTTON on the site would give me some ease. I had to empty my basket.

I wanted to know the postal price if it was silly overprice I would say no, if its silly reasonable price the seller has got a deal. ;)

Yeah that makes sense 180 days if no updates or no logins they've even been taken by aliens in UFO  or have gone to another site or other?

I stay logged in 24/7 that way I keep the account active.
