This idea just occured to me. Placing on the front page a list of the 10 largest VIEWABLE collections (with each listed member a hyperlink). I put it that way because people who don't have their collections visable may not want to be listed in such a list. I'd love to be able to see what the larger collectors have. Perhaps it would give me an idea of what I might want to try and add to my collection.

Good afternoon cessnaace,

I must admit that my collection is not viewable by others, I don't think so anyway.
I guess my reason for this is because I am a private person.

I keep adding titles and have purchased around 6 extra titles in the last four months 5 I think were unopened.

I am currently waiting for THE EAGLES DTS Laserdisc brand new / unopened, purchase price and shipping came to around £120.

It's been about 2 weeks now, so this should arrive shortly.

I have noticed a few Criterion titles up for sale new and unopened, and have already purchased from the seller before.
I get paid this Coming Friday 31st August, and so I may purchase a couple of these.

Thank you for your thought's in your post.

Regards to you

It is a valid idea and may work for some (particularly those wishing to sell their collections) however I have kept my collection private to date. It will soon reach 6000 discs when Julien processes my most recent entries. The reason being that most of my discs are one offs. For any that I have inserted/updated which are visible I was literally being overwhelmed with email queries from music fans all over the world asking if I would sell specific discs. Those music fans appreciate how rare some of the discs are now when they tried in vain to locate them themselves for many years.

My shop is what I will sell and in most cases I have one spare and that is it. When all the spares have sold on either LDDB.com or Ebay the shop will close. I'm thinking of selling big bundle deals either here or on Ebay soon so the shop closing might be sooner than you think. First and foremost I am a collector and wish to retain my main collection. I'm happy to sell any duplicates but not my last remaining copies regardless of what price you may wish to offer. In fact there are a few that I would not even sell my duplicates as they are too precious to me personally.

So keeping it private was to avoid disappointment to other people when the answer 9 times out of 10 was 'no sorry it isn't available for sale'.
Ultimately there is no information in my collection that isn't available in LDDB.com if you take the time to browse the titles and catalog numbers. That is what I did.

Hi Mark,

That's a nice suggestion you made. I asked Julien about this some time ago, with regard to who had the largest collections here. As far as I know, mine is the largest here. You are more than welcome to look at it to your heart's content, although nothing in it is for sale. Please feel free to check out my About Me page as well. I'm sure you will find it and my collection to be "interesting", to say the least. I am in the process of trying to catch up on cover photos for the recent additions to my collection. They will hopefully be appearing here in the next few days, providing Julien has the time to get them posted. I have looked at your collection a number of times myself, as well as a few of your YouTube videos. Great stuff, my friend! You "stay awesome" yourself!

Best Regards,
David :)
