As I just bought this movie on US LD and watched it, I can say there is a wrong entry at the lddb database, with the aspect ratio. Though this version sadly is still obviously away from the original ratio (2,55:1), it is definately not 1,85:1 as written. It is a 2,35:1 version, at least not missing as much at the sides as in a 1,85:1 ratio. Maybe sombody would correct this?

You can change the info. Just click the "update" button on the Laserdisc entry and edit whatever info that's incorrect. Once it has been confirmed by Julien the update will be submitted.

Thank you, did not know that everybody can change details in the data base. I did so now. Also I changed the aspect ratio for "Sodom and Gomorrah" (1963), where was written 2,35:1. This is wrong. Tor original ratio is 1,85:1, and so is also the LD version.

No problem, now that I know it is possible. Only a pity it is not also possible with covers. It is very sad such a lot of movies are in this data base without a cover...

Well, not this of course. But I collect my material - LD covers - either from the web (with editing with my image editing program), or I create scans myself. But I have no DinA 3 scanner, and so this process is very difficult. The rules to send pictures tell me very clearly - no material from the web and not from DinA 4 scanners. So - no matter what covers I have, impossible to use them here. Though I want to claim that I have a lot of covers meanwhile with better quality than what I can partially see here in the data base...
LD and VHS covers are my passion. I collect and edit them to get them back as near as possible to their originally brightness. Of course with a DinA 4 scanner it is impossible to get total perfect results. But I do my best for best results. Only as an example. My workout for "Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines" (Collector's Edition) with my scanner:

Actually it says no "partial" cover made with a A4 scanner , but if you reconstructed the cover with multiple scans, then it's not a "partial" cover anymore!
