I have some LDs published by companies not listed on the main site.

These include -

Mega Star Video Distribution (HK) LTD.
Deltamac (Hong Kong) Co. LTD.

There are some others too but I'll have to hunt through my collection to find them.

There are a whole bunch missing (I am thinking about some japanese), examples include Beam Entertainment and For Life Records.
So yeah the publishers list would need an expansion.

I'm trying to keep the list down to the relevant ones.

Basically my rule of thumb is that if a publisher appears more than 10 times, it should get its own entry. Otherwise a footnote (in the user comments) should be enough. It would still show in the "advanced search" if needed.

Yes, I would like to voice my agreement with the statement that there are many publishers missing from the established list. I would particularly like to point to the Taiwanese section in this regard. There are many missing publishers from this country with at least 10 documented releases. Here are the most noteworthy examples, along with the reference prefixes and number of releases:

T.K.T./Origon (ORM-) 19 releases
City Entertainment International Inc. (CENG-/CTMV-) 18 releases
Jei Wea Co., Ltd. (JWL-) 34 releases
Taiwan Lasersoft Corp. (LSM-) 26 releases
Jient Ya Trading Co., Ltd. (JLD-) 36 releases
Entertainment Network International (MDK-) 11 releases
Glory Star Communication International Co. (HLD-) 21 releases

These are the main examples I could come up with, compiled using the advanced search function. I'm sure there are some in the Hong Kong section as well, but I think that the Taiwanese section is in the greatest need of an update to the established publisher list. Well, that's just my humble opinion, for what it's worth.
