Top LDDb buyer/seller here... Many other members & friends have asked me to speak out on this monstrosity for quite some time. Curious if this nightmare will ever be solved? -My laptop just doesn't fit well in my pockets. I have 2 cell phones, 1 a LG & the other a Samsung -both top of the line models...neither work for making offers. I hear the iPhone doesn't work either, according to several members. (I know a FEW smartphones may work on making offers or counter-offers, but we're talking in the LOW 10 percentile) We're all on the GO, or busy at work these days etc... Not much time for laptop breaks during the day, especially for something simple as making a best offer. Julien, Anyway we can get the offer function to be formatted like ebay, where we just punch in the price number...!!? -Jay Roland LDDb member: lasercamp |

From my last post to now I have to say this is a total must. I've been on the road finding LDs at different shops and trying to find info on titles is a TOTAL PITA. Wish this would be easier to figure out somehow, I know again its a PITA to get it ready for phones and tablets but this really is a must for the future of this antique format. Hope you can get it done. |

I personally don’t care if I have to go to my computer to do some LD power buying/selling. Phones are toys so when they frustrate me (constantly) I just keep that in mind. “If I were really serious about what I’m doing right now my computer would be closer”. I’ve been using this iPhone on this forum for years, btw. It’s not perfect, it never will be because it’s a touch screen toy. I wouldn’t bust my bees fixing this “issue” if I were you, Julien.

It took so long the patch doesn't exist anymore, but after trying 4 or 5 sliders that are touch-screen compatible while not depending on jQuery, I finally got https://www.cssscript.com/clean-mobile-range-slider/ to work on touch screen for best offers. I honestly don't know if it's worth your time trying to fix issues related to using phones. Bigger sites than this have issues (attachments are a common one) and even after some things are "fixed" the same problem can come back, or other problems can arise down the track after changes/updates are made to the site. |

LDDB desperately needs a mobile-friendly version of its page, has for years. Theyd probably do themselves a favor by creating an app as well, but I don't really care about that so much, would just like to be able to constantly not having to resize the picture on my phone to get anything done and to make any purchases on LDDB on my phone. I had to redo it in my business years ago because otherwise I was losing business because people just don't want to see an outdated web page that is not mobile friendly. Just some constructive criticism. Overall, I love the resource and the site. |

From my last post in '17 to now I have to say this is a total must. I've been on the road finding LDs at different shops and trying to find info on titles is a TOTAL PITA. I use my phone more now than ever before, even in the house, just easier to buy on sites with it and I know it would make it easier for others to buy here too. Wish this would be easier to figure out somehow, I know again its a PITA to get it ready for phones and tablets but this really is a must for the future of this antique format. Few people showed up offering to build an app for this.... and quickly vanished when they saw the work it involved. It's high on my list, but higher is upgrading to PHP7/8 and soon needing another Debian upgrade. Julien |

I agree it would also be nice to get the picture upload easier. Discogs has an easy to upload picture system, not all are great but then again I would much rather have a crooked picture than none at all. You could have it pending after we upload to make sure its to your standards? On another note, my computer was on my table and my phone was on it, got a bing that I won something on ebay and I paid on the phone. But now I'm on the computer so I use both but its nice for quick transactions. |

Other forums I go easily let you upload images in posts, sometimes free for users, sometimes premium users. |

I have been looking for weeks for a software bundle able to provide something similar to Discogs cover uploads... and have found nothing that doesn't involve putting all the pictures inside a database. Free or paying. Resize/crop/etc. options all required PHP7 or above. It was discussed here: https://forum.lddb.com/viewtopic.php?p=127846#p127846 If you have a lead, I'm interested. Julien |
