Got a Star Trek TOS disc recently, looked it up and I can only see the set listed (Log 2):
https://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/00115/PI ... ries-log.2

I only got episodes 44 & 45 (I think it's disc 23?), it has it's own sleeve.

The set is PILF-1581 but the number on my disc sleeve is PILF-158108.
If individual discs/titles in boxsets have their own covers and a unique ID would it be possible to list them separately on the database?

 Maybe I'm blind and/or dumb...

It sounds like you have one disc from a set. Typically Japanese sets have full sleeves and often even catalog numbers for every disc.

US stuff...they just throw it all in a pile of wrinkly jackets.

Already considered this before but it gets very confusing since not all sets have individual numbering and show no price/barcode/etc.

One that got me confused for a long time was: 20th Century Best Cinema Collection

All without prices and barcode, and with additional suffix A on the reference.

Actually part of a wooden box set but the discs ended up being resold separately so often that I created individual entries.

=> The Best Cinema Collection BOX SET

There are a few split sets that got individual entries because we didn't know they were sets (Star Wars Trilogy Taiwan release, etc.).

Star Wars: A New Hope: Special Edition (1997) [006097]
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back: Special Edition (1997) [006098]
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi: Special Edition (1997) [006099]

But overall I try to keep sets as whole and not create more confusion. It's quite frustrating sometimes to get a single LD and later realize that it's supposed to come with a boxset and other LD with matching cover style.

The Japanese boxset cover for log 2 isn't duplicated for each disc in the set. They have their own unique front and back covers, and the ID of the boxset has another 2 digits added to identify individual discs within the set.

I completely understand if you don't want to bother about individual sub-entries, thought it was worth asking about anyway.
