Just wondering if there's something I've missed ... I'm buying more and more LDs online, and would like to keep track of how much I'm actually spending! Is there a field that I've missed that I can record how much I've actually paid for a movie? I'd just like to be doing everything in one place instead of having a second database just for pricing (although that's always an option, of course).

This site does track your order history. Hover over my account on the main site and you should see "Buying Orders". Click on that.

I'm aware of that option, but I've been buying discs off eBay and LD groups on Facebook, is there any way I can record those purchases as well?

I have looked myself but can't see any way to do what you want. If it were possible it would should just how ridiculous some of the shop prices are here.

That is just something you will have to track and log yourself unless something changes.

Have you used the "User Notes" field in your collection? (the following icon poping up on each line: Image)

label or tags for laserdiscs in collection

Notes will then be included in the global collection searching.

Hi Julien

Yes, I do use the Notes field to log where my LDs have come from, but it would be nice to have a numeric field where I can enter the price I paid.

I'm working on a spreadsheet that I've based on a CSV export from LDDB, but it does mean having to enter the data in two separate places. Never mind, was just making sure I hadn't missed something obvious :)

Hi Julien, could the database please include a full 3D hologram of my actual laserdiscs and could it include an avatar of me and my living room where i can remotely control me putting the LD in the tray and watching it? Thanks.

Then I would use the same template for the private notes. Something like:

Location: XXX|$YY

That way you can easily use the "text to column" function of Excel to split the $YY part via the | and easily rebuild the total value.
