Last week My wife and I were browsing LDDB using the cover flow feature so she could pick a title.

Sometimes when we watch a film together it's fun to see something none of us have seen, therefor it would be a cool function if there was some sort way of marking films in your collection as seen or not seen. With this feature it would be possible to filter and just show unsen thrillers or unseen sci-fi.

I understand it can be a bit complex when one has multiple copies of the same film but on the other hand for some people this might be useful if they have seen their CAV boxset of seven Samurai but not their CLV version.

I'm thinking the way to mark films as seen or not would be via this interface.

Hello!

I would see 2 ways to do it based on your screen capture:

1/ Use the "Date" on the last column to set the day of the last time you watch a specific title

=> Then you can list your titles by date, the oldest watched (or missing a date) will show up at the end of the list

https://www.lddb.com/collection.php?action=list&sort=date

or

2/ Use the "Notes" to add "not watched yet"

=> You will then be able to search inside your collection for "not watched yet" only.

https://www.lddb.com/collection.php?action=list&collsearch=not+watched+yet&sort=title

Hi, Julien. That works as a workaround!

I would suggest if it's possible to add additional elements like these, one open eye one crossed over eye or perhaps a better icon, this is just a quick mock-up where clicking the closed eye would mark the film as unseen and the other as unseen.
