Hi all-
I got interested in the Pioneer players capable of playing laser discs and also five CDs or CD-Video discs. Tonight, as I tried some searches, I noticed that each of the Pioneer five-disc-capable players (such as the
Pioneer CLD-M401) is described in the CD part of its page as a "multi-charger". Charger, as in charge a battery, not changer, as in change from one disc to another.
In the USA, I am used to calling such players (when I had one for CDs in the 1980s) "five-disc changers" or "5 disc changers". Using those terms or just "changer" or "changers" were not successful at all.
So, is this a mis-spelling bug, or is the word "charger" appropriate in non-USA languages or translations?
