Post subject:  One of my friends on here can't get on this site
One of my friends on here (tpgb12) couldn't get on this site since yesterday. It just loads forever for him, yet it works normally for me. He even tried using different web browsers, different devices, and resetting his wireless router. What's going on here? Has this happened to anyone else here? Thanks.

I was able to get on Lddb, but I had to use a proxy. And it's SUPER SLOW! Can somebody please help me with this? Thanks.

Every now and again I get a "page can't be found" but trying again a bit later always works. I just chalk it up to "one of those things".

i've never had that issue, but i always delete my cookies on internet explorer.
so you may want to check into that???

I did that, and it still doesn't work without using a proxy like Tor. I can't get on Lddb on any of my devices. All it does is try to load it, and then it gives up and gives me an error. All other sites load fine. :x

You might have been blacklisted if you accessed the website with weird hits/unexisting URLs/etc.

Could you send me your IP privately? (use http://www.whatismyip.com/)

2 or more non-existing URLs access will ban you for a month.
I get so many probing attacks from China, Russia, Korea, HK, etc. that I have very strict rules on blacklisting bogus visitors.

IP manually unbanned.

Is there a pre-processing step that prevents people's browsers from trying to fetch the three non-existent images or do you do something like checking the referrer or ...?

If this is actually an image missing on LDDb (in the correct subfolders) then it will create an error log hit but won't ban anyone.
If this is an image somewhere else (with an image file extension), then it will create an error log hit but won't ban anyone.

Only scripting/hacking/probing will (should) generate a temporary ban ranging from 1 hour to 1 month depending on how serious it looks.
