Just google any post you know to exist.
Then click the link to access the post.
This will take you straight into the forum without logging into LDDB.com and you can then read and access all posts.

Furthermore you can submit a new post without officially logging in - this is one I just did!

It synchronizises to the account you're logged in at the Database. So if you're not logged in there, you won't be able to post.

This is similar to today's request: Log out forum request

I've added an automatic logout from the from whenever you logout from LDDb.com.
Could you try and confirm?

Thanks. It is now working correctly following this change in that I can read the post I googled and clicked the link for but cannot post unless I have an account setup on LDDB.com and am logged in. I'm amazed the forum didn't get bombarded with robot spam posts prior to this change.

They could only if they had your cookie session but they didn't, they presented themselves as unregistered users and could only access the forum read-only (required for Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.).

Some tried to find phpBB known security holes to push malware URLs but usually they quite dumb and easy to detect.

I'm blocking about 50 IPs a day for these reasons.
