I tried to do an lddb.com advanced search to show only NTSC laserdiscs from 1984 (Video is: NTSC, Format is: Laserdisc, Year (contents) == 1984), but got back 13 garbage results, none of which were even laserdiscs. Is the advanced search functionality broken?

Just tried it & it does appear to be acting oddly.

Just tried again & it appears to be fine - perhaps a wee glitch?

Hope all okay for you also.

Cheers

I get 1,162 titles on this search...

Database found 1162 titles on query: Advanced Search
https://www.lddb.com/search.php?adv_search=*&adv_reference=&year=1984&year_op=same&video=1&format=ld

I figured it out. The correct example posted by the admin was the clue. My search ended in a URL string of:

&year_op=same&no_video=1&no_format=ld

...but the correct example posted by the site admin ended in:

&year_op=same&video=1&format=ld

This made me realize that I was checking the checkboxes for Video and Format, thinking they were "enable" when I now see they are negation operators.

Sorry for the confusion.
