Post subject:  Possible links that have been altered in postings

Asked before but can't remember.
Just saw this post and it had a link, when I clicked it there was a 9 minute download.
I know a little about computers but not as much as some tech geeks.

Is there a way to show that the link is safe when someone posts it here, I don't need to download spam or a bot into my computer
by accident when somehow an old or older post got hacked and they inserted a spam link into it.

This is the topic in question "what was the last laserdisc you bought" and this is the post.
Thx.

Unless this isn't spam, but I would like to know if I'm downloading something before I click on it.
Maybe a color change or something????? to show we know its a good not broken or malware link.

I'd expect soft from pretty much any NTSC analog format, but supposedly this non-THX master is particularly blah. I heard that the THX version is cleaner.

The closest I've seen to DVD-like sharpness on an LD so far is probably The Matrix http://(removed)/ld/i_know_kung_fu.mkv

Coming back as clean. The server is a VPS on Vultr (a popular VPS service). Ports 22, 123, 80 and 443 are open on it. Looks like it has a few CVE's that need patching up too so the owner should run an update and vulnerability scan in the near future.

Try this link as i think the one I posted earlier seems to have expired or is wrong, sorry.

Thanks, I'll bookmark this.

I've seen some other posts that have been hacked, even mine with links added that weren't there before.

You can make a report on a post if it looks suspicious.

I removed the links for this one here and in the original post.

Yes but sometimes these links get added by hackers, had it before on one of my posts where it was altered and I didn't do it.
