Post subject:  Searching up KILF and they are all wrong reference dashes

Just did a search on a KILF disc that I just put in my shop.

All of the listings have a dash between the KILF and number but should not -edit- ?????????

Disc and all reference numbers on the sleeve are KILF 5030 not KILF-5030 -edit- of the disc I have.

https://www.lddb.com/search.php?referen ... rt=ref,ASC

EDIT: Putting question marks as this should have been more of an I don't know are we all sure about this.

First example I pull.... has a dash on the obi.

High Noon (1952) [KILF-5010]

Looks like most KILF-50* are like this so... it will require case by case updates.

The one I just listed in the shop has no dash KILF 5030

No obi but nothing on the back, disc or spine just KILF 5030

Then it's definitely not a bug ("All of the listings have a dash between the KILF and number but should not.
" is not an accurate statement) and you need to submit updates when you find one without a dash.

This should really be a string of PMs, not a "bug" topic, I'll remove it soon.

I checked my copy of Saturn 3 (1980) [KILF-5033]
It does show "KILF-5033" on cover and spine.

Kind regards,
Edwin

Odd as the one I have has no dash.
Well since I believe its the only KILF I had I thought they were all wrong, so it goes.

This isn't really accurate either, since I only have one of these KILF discs it was helpful to post a topic to see the post edwin made.
From just PMs or really DMs it got a solution that is faster, I guess the domestic Japanese films have no dash????

Your post of High Noon and edwin's post of Saturn 3 are both foreign films to the Japanese.

That's interesting... I don't know why they would do that but there are a few cases indeed:

Woman Criminal's Punishment 2 [KILF-5115]
Tokyo biyori (1997) [KILF-5125~6]
