Warners Archive did release a MOD DVD-r of the movie some time ago, but it was a non-anamorphic matted letterbox release, and the soundtrack had an annoying echo effect. (It's now out of print.) The LD was release in Academy ratio, with the original mono soundtrack. What about The Compeat Tex Avery? Most of those cartoons are still missing on DVD/BD. Cold Turkey just came out on Blu-ray, so now my former post is irrelevant.

Just discover this release yesterday ! forget the dvd/bd...this is sweet cream, they dont even handle the comparison on any parameter Every single version of that movie that ever exists will always be terrible. Unless...on 7955 AS did they completely remake the movie sans the dude from Seinfeld, the jokes, the songs, the ending, and all the sequals in this now “series”? the movie is not that bad man, and the LD transfer is flawless imho, i was bored about the dvd pixelation and the bd dead textures

They are the best available releases of the film on any format and are likely to stay that way for the foreseeable future, since a rights dispute is holding up any kind of future re-release on home formats and streaming services. I have the American one. What’s special about the JP one?

As of now Twilight of the Cockroaches has been released on DVD, it may possibly be the same master used for the LD from the reviews I've read. I'm 99% sure it is, same for Project A-ko. On the bright side, the DVDs are readily available.

E. T.: Limited Edition (by the way, you HAVE to search for it that exact way, with the spaces and colon; otherwise, no results will show up. It's a box set, number 07251 on LDDB. It's the only (legitimate) place where you can find the famous cut scene with Harrison Ford as Elliott's school principal, edited in a comprehensive documentary simply called "The Making of E.T.", on the last disc of the set, which also cannot be found anywhere else. MCA/Universal chopped up bits and pieces of this documentary to make the newer documentary on the blu-ray, but I think this one's more in-depth.

Quote: Tekwar: The Original Movie (1994) [41850] not on DVD/BD. Is there something special about this LD release listed? I'm sure the movie has been available on DVD for years now. TekWar The Complete Series (DVD R1 Canada) - Alliance Home Entertainment (22 episodes). 7 disc DVD R4 set also available.
