I've tried to get all the Godzilla BDs that was released here except for 2 [i'm not interested in the US made ones] which now have gone up in price. I remember watching Godzilla on cable for a weekend they had a marathon of them when I was younger and loved them ever since. +1/+2 to everyone's Godzilla love! I grew up with them but have a kind of potpourri of the films on DVD, Blu, even VHS (sadly, no LD).

Well, I was searching for a LaserDisc player on Leboncoin (it's the French Craigslist) and I found a guy that was selling some Vinyl discs and a single LD disc, so just out of curiosity I checked what the LD title was, and it was this one : https://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/45243He told me that he was selling it for 5€ so I jumped on the occasion and bought it from him. The copy I got is still sealed by the way, but I don't see any Obi, so might be a disc that has been resealed. Anyway, I have no Idea how this disc lost itself all the way here, because the guy selling it didn't knew about laserdisc before buying it, he told me he got it quite accidentally when he bought a lot of Vinyls on a flee market. I guess this disc is now the rarest one in my collection.

It really shouldn't be a problem though not knowing anything about Canada's governmental agencies I can only assume it would be better than the US.

The sticker on the outer wrap on your disc is what would often be called a "sticker obi" so a nice find. Thanks for stating that you will update it to the site, everything helps so thanks again. Cheers

It's unusual for shipments from the US to get held up. I really have no clue what the issue with the other one was. I have it on Blu-ray, although I have no way to play Blu-rays. I'm collecting it on every format. There are even plans in the works to dub a Betamax copy for which I'll print a custom slipcase.

I'm driving 5 hours each way and that is with him driving up a bit too. That makes it doable in the span of a single day. If I had to go down where he is at in Texas, I'd really just have to spend the night somewhere which I don't want to do.

gypsy wrote: Good eye, Criterion Close Encounters is there. So much to go through and the LD-S1 is a very nice player!!! Oh yeah, forgot what player it was. The S1 is a great player, much better than others will say. Image is slightly on the soft side but then again this is LD and not bluray. The laser and spindle are only available on that player which makes is a very unique player with no shared parts.
