Curious about this as I've been reading through the mass of topics here and even searched and haven't seen any discussions about Laser Disc software from back in the day.

Specifically, I've seen some of the Laser Learning stuff produced by Hoffman Educational Systems that advertise they're for use with the Apple II computer platform. Has anyone ever used this stuff? Is it a deal where the software on the floppy diskettes just loads up a search function for browsing the LD content, or is there more user interaction to it than that, such as tests or such? Were there LD programs made for other computing platforms?

Some programs for Macintosh or PC via RS232 port.

Some games also were developed for Amiga 500 or Atari ST, the computer controlling the chapter/skip/frame seek/etc functions of the player.

And of course the SEGA or NEC LD-based players.

I know Palcom games (Japanese LD games for MSX) stored the actual game data on the other audio channel, so there was no separate floppies or anything; the game was loaded straight off the disc itself.

Ah yeah, I had forgotten about the Pioneer LaserActive... and Halcyon. Palcom sounds interesting. I ran across "Laser Learning" software for Apple II on Ebay and that piqued my curiosity on the subject, but haven't owned a Apple II since last century, lol!
