I swear the only reason anybody would say Wing is their favourite is because they saw it on the US TV back in the day and it's the only Gundam they've seen. They probably haven't seen it since either and tuned out when Toonami aired the original series because it looked old.

Get something that can play PhotoCDs if you want to use every disc in it. For me the Sega Saturn Photo CD Operator was the best choice since I bought one for $1 at a con a long time ago. It’s surprisingly difficult to find anything that will read PhotoCD, I hope everyone kept their paper copies and negatives... So I got a genlock unit which means I will get this at some point, though Maison Ikkoku is a bigger priority currently. Anyway, it seems like there are computer software options for reading Photo CDs. The Saturn disc looks like the cheapest legal option as they can still be had for cheap.

takeshi666 wrote: Maybe one day I will understand what that "Lalah may have been a mother to me" line meant. I think someday you will. I sort of get it now, but not well enough to explain. Psychology was never my strong suit. Char’s mother was unfairly separated from him at a young age but it’s obvious that’s not the whole thing... The Beltorchika’s Children manga explains a few things like this better. Like when Quess says Char is “pure” which never made sense to me since he’s pure evil by then. What she meant was that his motivations, his soul etc were uncorrupted by duplicity. Her parents were both massively full of crap but Char hid nothing, she knew because she was hella NT and can see directly into his soul. Even pure genocide is pure something. Teenagers, particularly girls from my experience, become obsessed with this sort of thing. As they are growing up they learn how full of crap all the adults are that they know. They’re looking for this person who isn’t jerking them around, who will never disappoint them, who they will always be safe with, a person that they will eventually learn doesn’t exist. Char is so committed to his grand plan at this point that he actually is totally pure. Sadly being an NT doesn’t necessarily make you a good judge of character...

On another note: Maybe you could change pitch of your LDs that make the voices sound too low like a mans voice

About to finally watch Gunbuster for the first time in a decade or more with LD and genlock. Took me ages to sort out subs, when I converted SRT to SSA I got tons of font coding in the on screen text. Was a matter of finding alternate subs here: https://wiki2.org/en/Gunbusterbut there only had 1-4 and had to edit 5 and 6 from the other source.
