So I've been looking into beginning a collection of a few things in some old formats and recently stumbled upon Techmoan and this video.

https://youtu.be/SeSz6MoX00Q

Naturally I checked here to see what titles might be on this V2000 format and found that format isn't in the system here. Which is odd as it had much more reach then VHD did and that's supported here.

Is there a reason for this? Couldn't find any lists elsewhere of what titles were available on this format either.

D-VHS is the only tape format in the system here afaik.
VHD isn't tape.

D-VHS at least had tapes released for it. I dont think video 2000 had any commercially released pre recorded tapes. I could be wrong but if there was I doubt it was many. I dont think I've ever seen one.

It certainly did. I've got about 20 or so of them. Just last week I was watching Nighthawks on the old VR2022.

Learn something new every day.

I even did a quick Google search but didnt see anything. They must've been as rare as laserdiscs in the UK because I never saw one growing up.

If I remember correctly, the reason we don't have betamax either is because home recording made bootlegs much too easy to manufacture, unlike laserdisc bootlegs which still require some level of industrial level hardware so they're rare enough to be included here, so I would imagine V2000 has the same issue.

Even though I seriously doubt V2000 ever had much of a bootleg market since it never saw any sort of success in the territories generally churning out bootlegs, I'm pretty sure it was still marginally more successful than D-Theater.
