A US bluray for the series finally.

Not by any means the biggest fan of this show but it's long overdue. I'll probably pick it up at some point.

either I am dreaming or the world is ending since this is beyond belief. But after a few other places cropping up I suppose it was bound to show up soon. I'll get it but hopefully its a excellent release after all these years. No mention of the original dub but Anno is crazy about localization now on Ev.

It's 2020. The world is ending a bit later than the Mayan's had predicted, but then they obviously failed to predict their own demise, no one is perfect.

My father said that it was a mistake and it should be year 2021 as the calendar starts at 1

I would bet on a region lock.

99.9% of the time a Blu Ray disc has to be locked for contractual reasons re the Blu Ray standard/code/hulaballoo etc.

Some crowds like that Iron Maiden or whoever they are, the lads that did the awesome Patlabor Ultimate box set, will put the region code on the box but 'accidentally' leave the discs unlocked.

Failing that if you have a juicy Panasonic UHD player you can use the Top Menu Trick. Works on 99.9% of my discs to date.
