Good evening.

Months ego I got the correct remote for my CLD-R7G.
The problem was that it arrived from Japan with someone spilling a drink on it decades ego.
It would not do anything. After I did deep cleaning of the board with alcohol the remote came back to life.
I did noticed that some of the traces had old corrosion.

After recently picking up the remote again I noticed that a couple of top row buttons simply did not work anymore. Pretty much the bottom part of the remote functions but the top part isn't.

Is there someone in the Netherlands or EU that can do a trace repair or should I try my luck at a electronic repair shop ? On the picture you can see which buttons no longer respond.

Anybody who can use a soldering iron should be able to fix this in their bedroom.

that is IF the traces need to be fixed. Need some thin electronics wire and solder and make new traces etc.

You should read my posting about repairing my remotes.....

A tale of two Pioneer remote control repairs

It's going to be a hit or miss but it is doable to fix this issue if you can follow all the traces that are damaged and effectively jump them all.

Appreciate it. The bubbling at a few traces is the exact issue I am having.

Will need to get a multi meter and will give it a go.

Therussian.
If you would like, quite awhile ago now a memeber here from Uzbekistan Jefix sent me a device that reads the codes from remotes which he had me send me the codes from my R7G remote.
Which he used to set up a universal one to access the comb filters etc.
If you end up going down that track if you have no luck let me know.
