Thank you for that link, Julien. One day, I need to check -all- of my HD DVDs, I suppose, and decide how many of them I want to replace with Blu-ray versions (if I have not done so already). Half of them probably are still never opened, including Phantom Of The Opera, that I bought on April 18, 2006. That was the first day of release for discs on the format, though I know some people got one or more of the first three discs before that. I got my first player on April 15, I do still have it.

Spoke with grasshopper and he couldn't believe that regular DVDs have issues now. Same factory, same timeframe but new format to add to the rot s**t list.

These are discs stamped exactly the same way in the same factory on the same day all rotting for the same reason, sometimes even in the same package. The topic has not strayed off course.
