Hi everyone. I'm just getting into laserdisc and got my first player. I got a amazing deal on a good looking LD-W1. Everything lights up the trays move in and out of the machine but when it tries to deposit the disc on top of the spindle. The spindle blocks the disc tray. It will attempt one more time and then the screen starts to flash. Has anyone run into this problem before. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The trays either raise or lower to position properly before they move back to the spindle motor. These are separate switches to detect tray height. Sounds like you have a serious issue with the electronics and the switches if you cannot get side A or B of both trays to work.

With laserdisc, if it is cheap to buy verify they work as repairs are expensive and sometimes not repairable.

Was it shipped, did they even know if it was working before parked.

The Pioneer LD-W1 is famous for breaking easily and being hard to fix.

Double LD player seems to bring 4 times the trouble.

Was it fully tested before buying it?
