However, I can state with confidence that it is a bootleg and is most likely sourced from only fair quality materials. The 4 concerts on the LD were never officially released by EMI/Apple, though they did appear in the 80's on VHS gray market labels (with poor to fair video quality). These were factory made VHS releases which would initially appear at your local record/video store and once they sold, were never to been seen on the shelves again. Still not convinced? Take a look at the LD catalog number "TMQ-LD-0628". TMQ, TMOQ or TradeMark Of Quality was a famous vinyl bootleg label that operated in the 1960s and 1970s. Many later day music bootleggers pay homage to TMQ by referencing their logo, artwork, mascot (a pig), or initials in their releases. For example, The Swinging Pig is a famous bootleg CD label from the 80's which used the TradeMark of Quality logo on their factory pressed discs (see below example). I believe whomever put out the LD was following in a similar tradition by referencing TMQ in the LD catalog number. If anyone who owns the LD is reading this, please chime in. I would love to see some pics of the LD labels and back cover, and hear a quality assessment from someone who has actually viewed the LD.

I recently acquired a copy of the Beatles bootleg laserdisc: The Beatles: The Ultimate Tour Live Collection - Tour Years 1964-1966 *BOOTLEG* [TMQ-LD-0628]On the back cover it claims to be 'Made in Italy'. It has a really glossy shiny cover where the opening is on the top of the cover not the right side like most other jackets. The disc has a funny picture of a pig wearing sunglasses which says Trade Mark of Quality! The disc also says Laservision which was typically associated with early analogue only LDs, but this disc has both analogue and digital audio. Picture quality and audio is low quality with a very grainy image, video flickers like it was taken off a dodgy tape (which it likely was) and is often out of focus like it was shot by an amateur!

i too own The Beatles: The Ultimate Tour Live Collection - Tour Years 1964-1966 *BOOTLEG* [TMQ-LD-0628]while i don't know how it's a "bootleg" like CDs or even DVDs, as you couldn't just go to a place and get LDs made, the quality is poor, but it is still a rare disc. the sleeve is a thinner paper than normal LDs but still glossy. last one on the bay sold for around 95 which i feel was cheap. when i first saw them on the bay around 2003 they were coming from korea and were selling on the low end for around 250 up to 400. that CD has the same trademark of the pig as the LD does.

You can't now, but you could 20 years ago. yes, i have to correct myself. you could make LDs back in the day, but the cost was around 300 a piece, or that's what i was told by a local who got discs made for a museum here in town. so why would you make a disc for 300 to sell for 40 what i was trying to say is that it wasn't cheap like DVDs and CDs are now. you can get discs made for something like 1-4 bucks with art and all. back then LDs and the techonology was not as cheap as now and you couldn't just get them made.

if you look at the mint mark on the Laserdisc, in which factory the disc is made? MSC-009-A01 3A170000 MSC-009-B02 3B170000 are the mint marks on mine.
