I ended up messaging him yesterday...and then we worked out a price. Before I could finalize the deal....he sold it to someone else...

you worked out a price, were in the middle of the deal and he sold it? That's kinda shi**y.

Oh that's kind of worrying. There were a bunch of discs on there I was considering emailing about. Hopefully that won't happen to me...

Yeah it's weird, I've bought three discs from his "unlisted list" and so far he's responded promptly every time. I think flcl4evr might've just been unlucky.

Yeah, I'm not too upset about it at all. It just means the quest continues. One of many, many quests in my Laserdisc adventure.

Wow, I never knew about their "Unlisted" stock. This'll keep me busy tonight.

I've already got a copy, but I never even saw it pop up on ebay. Who's the seller? Are they selling anything else good?

Wow. I do love that disc, but $90 is pretty steep!
Thanks for posting the seller. By the time I checked em out, they only had Moldiver disc 4.

Ah, yeah... that was me. Somehow I'm not surprised someone here was bidding on it too haha. I couldn't pass it up. I'm a big Rumiko Takahashi fan and read the manga of it years ago. I saw that pop up in my ebay RSS feed and knew I had to go for it.

Also luckily I was able to grab some stuff from the unlisted stock on laserdiscvault without issue. He even threw in a 20% off coupon so I couldn't help but buy even more than I planned to. Now somehow I have to find time to watch all this stuff... O.o

I had my max at $92. idk who pushed it up to 90 but I'm glad they didn't put it any higher. I was pretty nervous right at the end. I hope you can find it again soon. It's fun having those discs you're searching for but it can get frustrating after a while. I'm still trying to find You're Under Arrest disc 2. Luckily ebay lets you save a search as a RSS feed so I've been using that to keep an eye out for stuff I'm waiting for.

It's been a long time since I saw Mermaid Forrest, but I remember it being kind of terrible. Certainly the bottom, or near bottom, of the Takahashi heap. I wouldn't even pay shipping for a free copy, honestly.

Yeah, I agree. I've got the four English Rumik World LDs (I think I've heard there was a JP only fifth one, something about boxing...(besides Maris the Choujo)) and the programs themselves are kinda just mediocre (in my opinion at least). I figure the prices must come from the fact that they're not on DVD or something...
