Well... the way shipping from Japan to Sweden usually is... Expensive.
They offer SAL, Air Mail and EMS. No surface.

I placed an order and grabbed 10 discs anyhow.
In the end shipping is more expensive then the discs, even when using SAL :P

yeah, most of the anime that they have that was of interest i already own.
was going to pickup the zillion set for 78 but then shipping would be another 70 and i already own it
and don't have the extra for something i already have.

Personally, four discs cost me something like $34 through SAL.

I kind of just bought some stuff from somewhere else but I did use this sale to get Locke The Superman (movie) and Mononoke Hime since they were pretty cheap.

When it comes to 80s theatrically released anime there is almost nothing I don't love.

Three lds is the sweet spot. Anything less is not that great of a shipping deal and anything more then 3 is very expensive.

Thanks for the heads up, I just went on a hog wild anime LD bender . The major items are the Dirty Pair Perfect TV 9 disc box (still costs a bundle when it shows up on ebay), and the Macross: DYRL Perfect Edition 3 disc box. I went for 6 other discs, including: a few UY OVAs, the Megazone 23 II English edition, and an awesome 80s OVA from the Dream Hunter Rem series (still sealed!). I went with EMS, because it was only about $30 extra (on top of a substantial shipping price for 18 discs with 2 boxsets!) and the per disc breakdown was pretty reasonable.

The last Dirty Pair box slipped through my fingers on the bay, and this mint copy is probably in much better condition. A seller like this will know how to ship this box without the problems which sometimes occur with packaging. This should make for a very nice unboxing :).

How much was SAL for you per disc (I know you got EMS, but it did show you the SAL price, right?)? I paid something like 34 total in shipping for the four TwinBee OVAs. I'm wondering if there's a bulk discount or something.

SAL was in the range of $190-something total, and I imagine that the weight of the outer and inner box for the Dirty Pair set must equal a disc or two by itself.

They pack great. I have actually reused their boxes for my more expensive stuff. You can double box it perfectly. I would like to buy just the boxes from them, lol.

i had that dirty pair set years ago.
it's a cool set, it was a little too much dirty for me

i remember the covers would make a larger image, i think you could do 2?
again it was over 10 years ago, i think it was at the time when the set was selling for around
400-500

i think it has the series and then some type of OVAs? or the series was pulled from TV and they
made OVA types to finish it for the box?

you'll have to keep us posted on that one, the macross box is amazing.

Just ordered 4 LDs. Did I do the right thing to paypal them the sum directly afterwards, or should I've waited for an invoice? :P Instructions seemed to imply that there would be none...

i can't remember right now, i don't believe they send you an invoice.
just what was on the web page when you checked out.

you had to put your order number on the paypal payment so they know it's you.
they will also send you an email to say that they received the payment etc.

Yeah, personally, I just PayPal them the money with my order number where the "You've got money!" thing goes. It seems weird that they do it like this. I wonder why they don't just send invoices...
