Double-post This photo doesn't make justice to the jackets of Ariel Visual - they've got a very vibrant blue-ish space background going on and the text in silver does have a metallic effect to it. Very stylish. ...as for Gunsmith Cats...well...it's nice to have the OVA completed I watched them as soon as I got them but they don't really live up to the first episode. At all, visually at least since the drawing's style took a turn for the worse. It's odd though, the male characters look pretty okay but all the female ones look comically deformed - at all times. ...and with this I think I'm just about out of storage space.

vinylcollector wrote: Yep I agree that price is high. Still interesting though they have a new one for sale. Note that it says: "Availability: Usually ships within 2-4 weeks" Which means they don't have it in stock at all. My guess would be that it is a "zombie record", someone simply forgot to delete it. And if you would order it, you would most likely receive an email a couple days later saying that the item is not available anymore.

I wonder if titles like this Macross 7 box http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=BELL-1389 that have an availability of 3-7 days are actually physically in stock, or perhaps phantoms which took less time to acquire from the LD company back in the day.

If an item is actually in stock it says: Availability: In Stock / ships within 1-2 days Not LD related random example for this: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=KSCL-1927However I cannot tell what the difference between the availability of the Macross 7 Box and the Memories Box may mean. If you have a customer account there, you can email them about specific item questions, i.e. if the Macross 7 LD Box is really still available from "new" stock.

It is amusing to think that a site like cdjapan could still have some forgotten LDs laying about, gathering dust in some corner of their warehouse at full price, as if it was still the 90s . It reminds me of the time I bought a box of 8 inch floppy discs from my local kmart (in the 2000s!). 8 inch floppy discs are truly archaic: they were the first floppy developed, and are 1970s tech. It blew my mind to see a new box of huge Maxell 8 inch floppies sitting on the shelf, as if it was still 1980 (this kmart dated back to the 70s, so the discs were probably forgotten in the back room and rediscovered), and the cashier attempted to scan the barcode without knowing this item hadn't been in the system in decades (the price had to be manually entered from a sale tag on the box).
