Honestly, I always have to check LDDB. Of the three I have with English, here's the run down. Akira Special Collection [ PILA-1086]: Says "Multi-Audio:" followed by two lines in Japanese. Ghost in the Shell Premium Box [ BEAL-921]: Nothing on the box, but the individual sleeves reference, in English, "Manga Inc" which is the company responsible for the US Dub. Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro [ TLL-2473]: Just says "Multi-Audio". I should probably learn the Kanji for "English" sometime. 英語 The irony is that you have to be able to read some Japanese to be able to tell if an LD has English or not. The "multi-audio" is a clue that there *might* be a dub on there, but the vast majority of the time Multi-Audio is used for isolated soundtracks. ( Thanks!

I feel like I should have that tatoo'd somewhere for reference. If anyone asks, I'll say it means "Harmony."

"A man and a woman?"
"What?"
"A MAN AND A WOMAN!"
I wouldn't mind having it, but I'm not going to pay more than $20 for it. yeah, i had only found it by accident here on the database, almost wet myself. then i found a copy on ebay, it came but it was the wrong disc inside the sleeve so i was on the hunt for it, not very cheap but i think well worth it.

I always thought it was "additional". There isn't anything automated about the process. It's a hugely manual pain in the neck! Easier than properly mic-ing an iron monkey though.

You are correct about it being a pain, but the name is Automated Dialog Replaceent. Makes no sense to me either.
