Post subject: Realistic MD-1000 remote or codes? Posted: 21 Aug 2013, 17:15 |

Anyone know who made the Realistic LD player MD-1000 for Radio Shack? Apparently the only LD player made for them. I'm trying to locate a remote that will work on it. Tried Pioneer and Sony already and no go.
Then I looked at a vintage Radio Shack learning/universal remote manual, and they did not even include the code for the Realistic LD player! Only Pioneer and RCA!
Or if somebody has a remote they would be willing to lend for me to get the codes off, for a price of course? Or even one to sell?

Yes, that is right, same as the Funai, but it is a clone of either Pioneer or Philips.Magnavox. I am thinking it's Pioneer, built around 1989-1990. The only thing is that those two used distinctly different remote codes than either Pioneer or Philips. Just like the RCA LD players from Pioneer with unique remote codes, whereas Mitsubishi clones from Pioneer still used Pioneer codes.
Fortunately, being a Radio Shack item, you can get one of these two RatShack universal remotes and use the Realistic LD codes, Radio Shack 6 in 1 universal remote models 15-1918 or 15-1919.
The codes to control LD players are:
Brand & Code
Realistic 203,001 Realistic 051 Realistic 052 Realistic 052 Memorex 218,269 RCA 566 RCA 566 RCA 566
Good luck finding the remote.
