Just happend to see these on yahoo: http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k163097128

didnt know they were so expensive, 75 bucks each already, are they so rare ?

think only one of them is listed on lddb.com if anyone want to add them, the seller got several memorial lds out, all up in the same amount.

maybe the people who have them don't want to sell them so the ones that do sell them raises the price because there is any. Supply and demand.

Maybe it's because of the trading cards?
I don't know what the content of the "Memorial" discs is. If it's just clips from the episodes, I don't know at all why they would sell so high. Of course it might be something like clean OP/ED plus voice actor interviews… Obsessive Fan Stuff.

Could be. But if those were in it from the beginning that should be quite common as well, almost all lds Ive seen for sale are complete since they take good care of their stuff.

according to lddb.com the only volume added here got to owners, hopefully someone could tell us was actually on them.

You would be surprised: the SM ld boxes still bring decent prices when they occasionally show up on eBay. The impressively illustrated sleeves on some of them do help (e.g. the Sailor Moon S set covers are pretty well regarded), as you note.

yup, but http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f131089989 12 000 yen for one volume is extremly high. Yes I am so stupid that I want them =)

If the telephone card is included with the disc, the price is highly jacked up. It is the telephone card that gives the disc a high value, not the content on the disc itself. Same applies to all the other Toei "memorial" LDs.
