Hello. Does anybody at all have this box set, and are willing to sell it to me? I have up to 50 dollars (which would include shipping) to spend as of tonight, but I may raise it to 75 dollars tomorrow (I'm not entriely sure, though). My criteria is that all 10 discs are included and are rot free, I can pay with a PayPal payment request, and that the box itself doesn't immediately completely fall apart as soon as I touch it. The T-Shirt and Liner Notes would be nice, but aren't needed.

I doubt I'll find anybody that's willing to sell it to me, but it's worth a shot. If you actually do want to sell it to me and it meets my criteria, please PM me. Thanks.

I raised my maximum offer (including shipping) to 70 dollars (I didn't mean to type 75, before).

I'd never sell mine, unless I'd be extremely broke and close to starvation.
Hope you find it though.

I could see why you wouldn't want to. I've never seen it for sale on eBay, but just maybe I'll get really lucky and find it, someday.

I got my hands on the last two AnimEigo had, sold one, am keeping the other. I broke up the awful binder on mine (which was starting to come apart) & put the discs into individual jackets.

Oh the binder... yeah that is a piece of s**t!
It is sometimes impossible to get the LD's out of it...
And then later it is impossible to stick them back into it...
What a weird invention this was.

I wish I was around here when you sold that one, then. :P Sorry about the binder, though. :(

I made up disc labels for the spines of the blank jackets which show the disc number in binary using orange (1) and black (0) stripes. And, when I get around to it, I'm going to make up labels with artwork & contents listing for each volume.

Just wondering, where do you get blank jackets from?

Is it really THAT bad? I've seen pics of the inside of the box, and it doesn't look that hard to get it in, IMO.

Also, I have recently gotten UY Movie 4 and 6. So at least I have some more UY related stuff. It's better than nothing, for sure.

The problem is not to get the discs in or out of the box...
The problem is to get the LD's out of the plastic "holders" which they stick to like mad.
I had to pull so hard to get the LD's out that one or two of those plastic "holders" partially ripped.
As if Lum herself used glue to play you a prank or something...
In the end I used elephant condoms inside the "holders" to be able to easily access the discs if I wanted to.

I just remembered that Ldservice actually offered to sell me this boxset, a while ago. It's missing a disc, and I didn't have money at the time, though. Should I offer him 65 bucks, or not? I'm not sure if he's okay with selling it anymore, either. Thanks.

Uh... and where will you ever manage to get the missing disc from?
Stay away from it and purchase a complete set.

Oh just noticed its a 10 disc set. You can probably find it cheap from japan but shipping alone on slow boat will be close to your budget.

Contact kevin (good squid) on facebook or here. He might be able to hunt one down for you. He is %100 reliable and very fair on pricing.

I'm a bit confused. Why would one be in Japan if it was a US release?

I thought it was a Japanese release. You are correct it would be cheaper here.

Friendly local record store, on the shelf next to the disc sleeves. They've got plain ones & ones with holes in them. I bought a few of both.

Asked DaDon to do an inventory check on this disc, and even he doesn't have it in stock. By "Limited Edition", do they mean 50 copies? :P

Also, sorry if this is kind of a stupid question, but what is this set all about? I assume it's a set of OVA's 3-6, but I could be wrong. Either way, it seems even more limited than the TV set. Urusei Yatsura Set #1, 3-6 Yum Lum [AS095006]

It was a limited edition in the sense that only enough were produced to fulfil pre-orders, plus a few extras, I think about 500 copies. Any you see for sale are being dumped by someone. At one point, AnimEigo bought them back for credit toward the DVD sets, and then re-sold the buybacks.

That set was of movies 1 and 3 through 6. Movie 2 was licensed by someone else, but AnimEigo cut a deal so that they handled the translation & subtitling, the packaging is similar, & their box set has a space open for it.

Sadly, I just spent some of the $70 dollars (12 dollars of it, to be exact) to get Otomedius Excellent. Oh well. :\
