I have over 1500 laserdiscs and I would like the ability to tag discs with specific labels. For example, I would like to tag discs that I want to watch in the future. It would be great to be able to generate a list of my movies with that specific label/tag. Then add or remove tags as that list changes.

I can see this expanded to genre tags. Maybe such things as "horror", "comedy", etc.

Any chance of this feature being introduced?

I build myself a excel file in which I have one overview of all my discs and all details like labels, ....
Using this file you can make nice graphs using macro's (e.g. movie, music or PAL vs NTSC or factory ....)

Additionally I build a LDDb overlay, I scan the barcode on the LD cover and it automatically redirects me to the LDDb website with all info's related to this disc.

That sounds like a solution, but I guess my point is that I don't want to keep two active running lists of disks. For example, if I sell a disc, now I have two (or more depending on how many "tags/categories") I have to update. I really just want to use the excellent lddb collection list.

Have you tried using the notes on your collection?

You could put something like #2WATCH #SCIFI in the comments. When performing a search on your collection on #SCIFI they would show up, as collection search does include your notes.

I use this to label discs with a Box #n so I dont' have to reopen all my storage boxes to find a single disc.

Cool. I didn't know that you can insert searchable strings. I guess this would work quite well. Thanks.

Yeah, I've collected quite a few. :) It has slowed down a little as I am now getting picky on what I want to add to the collection. But still enjoy watching them every week.

The maggies are great. A pretty significant upgrade from my Martin Logan Vantages I had before. I would recommend the 20.1's to any serious listener.

Take care, it was nice to hear from you.
