Here i found a list. It is for the cld d925. I don't see U3, but U1 there, or would it be misclamp standby? I had once an error code when i tried to pop in a disc which had cracks (Howard Jones LTGTKYW cracked in the mail ). It didn't spin up at all, gave some U* code and ejected the disc. (Of course it wasn't any good idea to put in a cracked disc to spin at 1800 rpm).

Would really love to get this fixed, as the player is great otherwise. I also own an Elite CLD-59 that was giving the U1 error message when I first tried using it. You might not even need to replace the belt -- I didn't. I got mine working perfectly by removing it and cleaning it/the associated pulleys with some rubbing alcohol. It removed a lot of grime that I can only assume was causing the belt to slip, because it's been working perfectly for me since then.

Sorry to hijack this old thread, but I'm having the same issue with my Pioneer CLD-D406. By "same issue" I mean I hear the whirring sound before the disc is ejected. After a few tries, the disc spins up and plays fine. The CLD-D406 is not listed as a supported unit for the belt part number VEB1184 on their site: http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/part.asp?productNum=VEB1184That said, does anyone know if is it compatible with my player? Or is there a different part number? Thanks in advance and Happy Easter everyone! JP
