Ok, so I lately got my hands on Char's Counterattack LD from Japan, but the one listed on LDDB isn't the same one that I have. Anyone knows what's the difference between them?

I think the only difference is the cover. I only have the later version (not the one you pictured) and it doesn't seem to have much in the way of remastering or features.

In my case the disc only has the movie without any chapters or anything else. Aside from the disc there was only a one page pamphlet.

Found it:

http://homepage3.nifty.com/YAP/GUNDAM%20VIDEO.htm

=> Your LD cover is the first version, illustrated by Koni Yoshikuyi, as a limited first edition run.
=> It was released again with a lowered price and a cover by Hiroyuki Kitazume.

Thanks, Julien. So now should it be added as a separate entry, or how?

I only have that small pic I posted in the first post. I don't have anything to take the pic with.
Btw, what to type in the reference? ^^'

That's indeed a separate release, not even the same reference.

Confirmation: http://homepage2.nifty.com/battling/zz-gundam/visual/BELL-187.htm

I added the basic info, please update if more is missing:

Mobile Suit Gundam: Gyakushu No Char (Char's Counterattack) [BELL-187]

Thanks. ^^
Someone stated that the discs are the same, and the only thing that's different is the cover.

You could tell that by looking at the mint marks (stamper number). My copy of BELL-376 has :
BELL-376-A11-P
BELL-376-B11-P
Unless your BELL-187 has stamper numbers which say BELL-376, we can safely say that a new set of tooling was made.

It's pretty typical reprint. I think the one I have (Kitazume cover) is from the early/mid 90s, the original would have been 1987 or 1988. Nothing is *exactly* the same, but I'm fairly certain the contents of the disc are identical. I don't have any LD players hooked up right now so I can't check for sure.
