Julien My HLD-X9 supposedly was manufactured in 2001. Serial is BBTT006968JP. Mint-o-Matic tells me it was manufactured in February 1981 Cheers!

And that would make this little guy a CLD-R5 from 2003: http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h240067452Julien

nice video, the 1750 is a good player, I had the 1850 once Now sporting five players, four pioneer and one kenwood. CLD 2950, D750, D515, CLD 2750K (USA with dual voltage) and LV-9200 Kenwood karaoke
I'd love an elite player one day, have the dream of owning a runco LJR I or II, highly unlikely though

I'd love an elite player one day, have the dream of owning a runco LJR I or II, highly unlikely though I had several models over the time that I collect laserdiscs. Sony MDP 212 Pioneer CLD-1600 ( exact copy of the CLD 1750 but PAL only ) Pioneer DVL-909 Pioneer DVL-919E Pioneer CLD-D925 Pioneer CLD-S315 The both DVL's were the finest ones. Ultimate goal is to get a HLD player ( X9 probably ).

It's a great player thus far, much superior to my garbage Magnavox CDV 474 with a broken tray and scratches discs. Congrats! Panasonic players have a good reputation. Now you'll need to watch all your discs again!!

Updated 5/13/2018Updated 6/13/2018Updated 7/19/2018Updated 7/28/2018Updated 10/9/2018Updated 1/27/2019Updated 3/13/2019Let's see... what do I own??..... I have a total of thirteen players and all of them are Pioneer or Pioneer based machines. They are as follows in order of oldest to newest machine. Pioneer, LD-838D (recently acquired and will probably mod it for AC3-RF output at some point)Pioneer, CLD-3030 (my main machine still for my home theater as well as being the first machine I ever owned. In addition, it was the first machine that I modded w/ an AC-3 RF output) ProScan, PSLD43 (Pioneer, CLD-2090 clone) (recently added "scratch built" AC3-RF output)Pioneer, CLD-M90 (single side LD player w/ five disc CD auto changer that will get an AC3-RF mod w/ another scratch built board along w/ a PCM coax/optical mod at some point) Pioneer, CLD-D701 (a modified unit w/ an internal AC-3 RF Demodulator) Denon, LA-3100 (Pioneer, CLD-D701 clone)(I own two units and both are modified for AC3; one w/ AC3-RF and the other w/ an internal AC3-RF Demodulator) Pioneer, CLD-D702 (recently acquired w/ damaged alpha turn mechanism and jog wheel; will attempt to repair all of it. Also, if and when fixed, will perform AC3-RF mod to it.)Pioneer Elite, CLD-97 (recently acquired and will be the fourth player to receive an AC-3 RF Demodulator mod if there are no space limitations)Pioneer, CLD-D703 (will be @ some point be my third player w/ the AC-3 RF Demodulator mod) Pioneer, CLD-D704 (on my next home theater update, I will have the modded 703 and this stock 704 set-up as a tandem pair that will work though a Sony, SDP-EP9ES AC-3 processor) Mitsubishi, M-V7057 (Pioneer, CLD-D704 clone) (I just had to adopt this unit since it was so cheap @ $40. Not sure what to do with it yet)Pioneer Elite, CLD-59 (not much to say except that it's glossy and looks great. It may not be a truly Elite model since it’s basically a subtlely upgraded D604 but it’s still a fine machine). In respect to surround processors / AV receivers, I have.... Pioneer, VSX-9700S, Dolby Pro-Logic AV Receiver (stored away but might bring back as an audio only stereo receiver w/ possible multi-room applications) Sony, SDP-E800, Dolby Digital Surround Processor w/ AC3-RF input (recently acquired to use with newly modded ProScan player and will use 5.1 self powered PC speakers on it for a low cost set-up)Sony, SDP-EP9ES, Dolby Digital Surround Processor w/ AC3-RF input (used as a digital switcher now w/ the Denon AVR-2808CI & the Pioneer CLD-3030 LD player) Denon, AVD-2000, Dolby Digital Surround Processor w/ AC3-RF input (recently acquired and now being used as another digital switcher w/ the Denon AVR-3805 & the two Denon LA-3100 LD players)Sony, STR-DE915, Dolby Digital AV Receiver w/ AC3-RF input (on loan to a brother) Denon, AVR-3805, Dolby Digital / DTS AV Receiver (on loan to another brother and coupled w/ the Denon, AVD-2000) Denon, AVR-2808CI, Dolby True HD / DTS Master HD AV Receiver (my main unit at this time and coupled w/ the Sony SDP-EP9ES) Marantz, NR-1605, Dolby True HD / DTS Master HD, WiFi-Bluetooth capable AV Receiver (a broken unit that I am working on fixing and not sure what to do with afterwards)Yup.... I have too much equipment.

blam1 wrote: My very first player was a Pioneer LD-660. That was followed by the Sylvania VP-7200 and the CLD-909. The next "main" player I had was a CLD-3030 and LD-W1 that I bought together. When the 3030 died, I purchased a CLD-D703, which I still have. I also still have the original LD-W1.
Over the years, I've tried to re-purchase every player model I owned over time. I've gone a little overboard, as you see from my current player list here. I replaced the CLD-909 with the CLD-1010, because I really didn't like the 909 and the 1010 had the same "swing up" CD motor assembly the 909 had.
An update on my current player list. I use the DVL-919 (MIL) for anything requiring analog audio, the HLD-X9 for anything with AC-3, DTS or PCM audio and a VP-1000 for most DiscoVision.
