Ice Station is uber classic, on any format. Loved that movie on TV as a kid. Even then it was old but so cool..

Great Rocketeer LD and I'm glad you like it but when it came out it was really disappointing, one of the most overhyped movies of the '90s, most people at the time agreed. Next to stuff like Barron Munchausen. Terrible. (this is just my OPINION, it doesn't mean it's true or you have to agree with it)

forper, are you a Mad Max (1979) fan?

Yep. I used to regularly go to visit the last of the V8s at ACMI when I lived in Melbourne. You?

I guess you're going to say that "at the time Mad Max was panned but now it's a classic" well Rocketeer still aint no classic, look at the online reviews to see that. I'm not even talking about reviews at the time either, all my friends got excited and then disappointed, we went back to rewatching our copies of Predator taped off TV..

Yes I'm a big fan, it's my favorite Mad Max film, and I went to the ACMI a couple of years ago and the V8 was still there on display.

What I was going to say is if you are as big a fan of Mad Max as you say you are, and your Australian, than you must hate the LD. All the Laserdiscs of Mad Max (1979) feature ONLY the American dub, where as the Blu-Ray features ONLY the Australian track, and thats the way it should be. There should not be a American dub or even a choice between the 2, its the orignal Aussies actors using their orignal voices or GTFO. Surely you agree?

Yeah I have the LD and was disappointed it didn't have the Australian dialogue, I didn't check before buying. The DVD apparantly has it, and it's in widescreen and won't have that horrible BD video so why do I need the BD again?

Because the DVD is a** ugly. Look at these cap comparisons.

That's the 3rd episode of the first Slayers OVA series. The other discs/box are around the corner in a different parcel. :)

The 3rd series in the first picture is Legend of Crystania, same universe as Record of Lodoss War. Movie + 3 OVAs (complete set.)

Well, it is a British TV show originally. :P I think there are 6 discs in total for the set, the two other releases on LDDb have that at least. Just a cheap one I came by, cost like 10 yen on yahoo. Got it for the laughs. :)

No, it's a swiss TV show, thats why it suprises me, to see it on LD. But according to wikipedia, some newer episodes, after 2000, were produced in UK.

Ah, perhaps that's where I got the British part from! I'm sure most countries aired Pingu at some point. At least well known here in Norway, and Sweden too.

Hi;

These films are always dubbed into Spanish, some (very few) bring both languages.
In 1977 a law ended the censorship in this country.

German PAL laserdisc of "http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/45801/16348.030/Crow-The" (The Crow).

Actually not all that easy to find – apparently not too many of these were pressed. :)

Glad to be able to help you.
Do not buy it. Here in Spain there are companies that save costs by launching films on non-press discs.
The Lamp is one of them. Comes in DVD-R(toast).Unless you do not mind.
Here a black list:
BD-R and DVD-R
