The DVL-919 had a MUCH better picture than the Sony. I have always agreed that in general Pioneer players have much better PQ. However SQ and reliability are a different story. You see, I'm honest and unbiased about everything in life unlike some here who are indoctrinated to believe Pioneer is the ONLY choice.
