Recently I noticed my player taking awhile longer than usual to get to Side B. There are no unusual noises or anything. It seems to ride the track to the other side fine and spin up fine, but I guess maybe the focus takes 5-7 extra seconds when it's trying to find the start of the disc on side B. I have been flipping the discs by hand instead because I have been really busy in life with no time to go about fixing the actual issue, but the last time I let it go to B by itself, it gave an F5 error and I had to shut the machine off then turn it back on to get the disc out and flip it myself instead. Any knowledge on what I need to do by myself to fix the issue? TIA everyone!

I have only tried one disc but the A-B switchover took at least about 5 seconds less than it had before and no errors. In what is a good omen, I watched it with the player open as it made the switch, and as soon as the disc spun up to speed, with no discernible delay, playback continued from side B.
That came from just greasing the track and cleaning the clamp and spindle. Particularly the spindle took both ends of about 12 q-tips to get clean. 12 q-tips, where did you get this player, out of a bar??????????? Me thinks you spent too much time cleaning something and thinking it was a 15th century painting rather than a plastic piece.
