Cold Turkey (1971) should be on the list. Warners Archive did release a MOD DVD-r of the movie some time ago, but it was a non-anamorphic matted letterbox release, and the soundtrack had an annoying echo effect. (It's now out of print.) The LD was release in Academy ratio, with the original mono soundtrack. What about The Compeat Tex Avery? Most of those cartoons are still missing on DVD/BD.

I personally don't understand countries that dub material intended for teens and adults. Either way, subtitles are not that difficult to avoid looking at if you understand the spoken language. I don't see the problem. It's not the case as much now, but European films were often dubbed in one language because directors would use stars from multiple countries, all speaking their lines in their own language. Having three different characters speak to each other in French, Italian, and Spanish with subtitles would have been weird.

An American Tail: Fievel Goest West appears to have been released on blu-ray in the proper aspect ratio of 1.85:1

roger wrote: The colour grading on the laserdisc is certainly different to any other version I've seen There's good comparison pics at capsaholic between the original DVD and the later releases; maybe someone should try taking matching caps of the LD and see how they measure up? I mean, I definitely want to see for myself.

LV 32270 Major League has a shot of Rick Vaughn in the bar by himself that lasts about 2 seconds that I have never seen on another version. Cool, I have that. Good to know I watched the most complete version of Major League. My life is now officially better than a Blu Ray user

Just discover this release yesterday ! forget the dvd/bd...this is sweet cream, they dont even handle the comparison on any parameter Every single version of that movie that ever exists will always be terrible. Unless...on 7955 AS did they completely remake the movie sans the dude from Seinfeld, the jokes, the songs, the ending, and all the sequals in this now “series”?
