Can somebody tell me if there is a replacement for the part number PEB1013 or the actual size? It is not available from Pacparts.com. Google is sparse with information.

Fortunately the loading belt is one of the parts that should continue to be available, it's only matter of finding the correct size.
In a pinch I had success using an o-ring from the hardware store matched to size, but I'd recommend getting the correct size belt if you can.

The synchro belt VEB1069 is still available to order from Pacparts, so I will order a few of those. I would like to get the original one from Pioneer, but seems I'm so out of luck there. I don't know how accurate all the aftermarket belts are.

I had a tape deck once that needed a belt, so I used a rubber band that was small enough.

Yeah, there are a hundred ways to make a belt.

Is there any easy way to access the belts, or do I have to disassemble the whole unit to gain access? I have picked up a spare player intended for parts, but I'm trying to get it to work before I consider it non-functional or beyond my repair knowledge.

Thanks to Kurtis, we can more easily look up for replacement parts (or good contenders) with:

http://manuals.lddb.com/LD_Players/PRB_Belt_XRef-extract.pdf (I extracted only the pages relevant to LD Players)

You can lookup for PEB1013, but sadly on this one there is a typo and they entered PE81013.

Standard ref gives the same result SCQ4.3 which is a Square Cut Rubber belt
