Yeah, I went kinda crazy myself. Only like $127 but that bought an absolute mountain of stuff.

I went back for a 2nd purchase when something I wanted the first time came back in stock. Grabbed some stuff to gift to a friend of mine as well.

I mostly went with blus when available but I did do a couple things on dvd instead. Hell with these prices I'd be worried they were going oob but I know part of this is to push their streaming service HiDive.

Well, thanks for enabling me!! i went ahead and had a look myself,
and, before i knew it, i racked up over $100 worth of titles
that have been on my "maybe-one-of-these-days" itinerary for years now!!

between these and the BANDAI DX 1/48 MACROSS VF-1J coming in late-DEC.
i'm about to have the merriest X-Mas i've known an a long time!!!

Since everyone else shared I will too.

Order one $219.72
Order two $103.86

$21 specifically spent on gifts, but more content than one would initially think for that much. Like, Sakura Wars is 26 episodes for $3. Yeah... Also a few upgrades to BD of things I already own on DVD and the Orphen set for $5 to save space over singles. A lot of those old dvds will end up gifts as well.

One of my favorite shows of recent years is Space Brothers. Since it’s super long and expensive I had no intention of owning it but at $5 per volume? Maybe I will own it. Or some of it it anyway. I think that show is still going...

Gatchaman II and F, Patlabor 1&2, a few others. A huge huge pile honestly. It will take me a year to watch all this.

The anime is done at 99 episodes. The manga is still ongoing. And I agree, it's pretty good.

If that new Patlabor set wasn't coming (finally shipped today, after delays) I might have considered some Patlabor BDs. The prices in this sale for those were clearly a bit higher to protect sales of that megaset (I did the math). Which is fine and expected on their part tbh.

Bought Harmagedon years ago on LD and sold it pretty much as soon as I watched it, which was over 15 years ago.
Had some other anime and was watching the trailer again so I decided to pickup a cheap DVD.
WOW what a horribly slow film this is.

Harmagedon made me almost gave up on Anime, no joke
possibly the worst I have ever seen...though that maybe cause the expectations were high

Well, luckily I started with Macross and all the other 80s stuff then went to Akira when it first came out in a small theater in NYC
and then sort of went backwards from there.

I remember after seeing Akira at the Film Forum, they then showed Robot Carnival, reading reviews about it made me pass on seeing that one.

But I did get into other anime and have started to just pickup these recent bad titles that I remember seeing years ago to have in a
nice little collection.

A couple of the things in here look pointless based on other things I ordered, but they are gifts for other people. HOHOHO.

Thats some haul there.
In retrospect I should have picked up those Patlabor discs but didn't.
Don't have as much time as I used to to watch stuff.

I’m way too snobby to watch almost any of that except maybe You’re Under Arrest, the original OVA, since it has some of the best hand drawn cars in the history of anime.

I can't deny some of it looks pretty trashy. Definitely a fair bit of "well it's $5-10 so if I hate it, no big loss".

Speaking of the You're Under Arrest OAV, does that top out at LD in the US? Couldn't see anything about a DVD release. As if I need an excuse to buy more LDs...

I have no idea. I just have one You’re Under Arrest LD and it’s Vol 1 of the OVA from Animeigo. Picture quality is excelent and the subs are probably way better than any of the discs you just bought because apparently good subtitles are something that only Animeigo cares about.

i was going to pick up "HE IS MY MASTER" as well, but ran out of allotted budget.

hopefully it will still be available at the blowout price next month, since i was considering picking it up then,
along with SPACE ADVENTURE COBRA and a few others that i couldn't quite work into my first order...

No no no no. That one has to be LD, preferably the first print. :)
