Just got myself a VP-R70B sharp 3d player and fixed it got it cheap from japan. but struggling to find discs I have the japan auction site and a prixy bidding service but just carnt find the discs when I search. what are they listed as please so I cann find them. also if any one knows how to easly acsess the belt moter assembly on this player i would like to know its the one that open the disc drive door that i carnt get to not sure apart from taking it all to bits. anyway still working


hears the video of it running and you can see the fault of the flap not openin g and the motor spinning



let me know how to find the discs looking for horror and cult aswell as 3d stuff

I think there was some type of craigslist in the UK but can't remember what its called.

Maybe even trunk sales, or is it boot sales where you are?

Somehow I doubt there's a lot of VHDs in flea markets in the UK!

Well you are right, that's what happens when I read the post fast.
Ebay and YJ are pretty much your only bets.

There are some listed under LDs and they are around 20-30 each.

they don't list that much but you should check a lot on eBay but YJ should have more. I had to buy my discs from YJ using a proxy when I bought both my players.

One benefit here is that international shipping from Japan is still quite reasonable. And since you have to pay customs for them anyway, there's really no downside to buying them from there instead of North America.

thanks guys I use the from japan service proxy site. that's where I got my player from was untested. got a few discs around 20 or so but on the look out for more. will keep my eyes on ebay as I got emanuelle for a quid of there.

any one know how to get to the belt that needs replacing? any one got this model?

Your best bet would be to measure the old belt or use a piece of string and then measure that.
I doubt anybody can help with these players anymore, they are just too obscure and way to limited to just Japan but very cool indeed.
