found this Wish I could buy it but I noticed it wasn't in the database so would this be like a normal release or would it be widescreen?

Very cool, I'm sure its widescreen just like the first Japanese LD. I didn't know they released VHDs that late.

He also has that rare single disc release of Space Cobra the movie, I think that's harder to find than the box set, but I did have both at one time and the PQ was
identical other than CAV/CLV

what is then normal? would they usually do widescreen for movies or would they do both pan and scan like the US did in the early days. this makes me wonder what else is on VHD this late as well.

My guess is that it would be wide or semi wide with a minor letterbox like most 80s LDs of theatrical anime. It’s probably just like whatever the first Akira LD was. This is just an assumption though.
