Just read the definitions of what the icons/colors mean (left-bottom area of the screen) by hovering your mouse over the pink color square box. Julien

jesuslovesgood wrote: I rarely ever see Dark Tide pop up. I think that might be the rarest one. That or people love the cover so much they're refusing to sell it because it's pretty exotic looking. I think it might be rare either way. I guess everything on this format is rare to some extent but I think this is pretty rare compared to other laserdiscs. Have the same movie and it is pretty hard to come by.

Blue Bird, The (1976) [TLL 2072]This is obscure in my opinion. Cannot speak for Japan back in the day, however since zero hour of the format, in this part of the world this title is RARE. Japan only release. Elizabeth Taylor and European cast brought back this original Shirley Temple classic to life. Check it out ... Cheers to the membership.....

I guess everything on this format is rare to some extent but I think this is pretty rare compared to other laserdiscs. Have the same movie and it is pretty hard to come by. I paid a lot for my copy. I originally almost got it for $20 but the ebay seller claimed the listing was over and it shouldn't have been up. Then about a year or 10 months later approximately it popped up again but this seller knew how rare it was and put a crazy price around $130 or so and I paid either $130 or $135. So if I ever let this laserdisc go I would want to probably double my profit or more. I like having it in my collection so it would really take a big offer for me to let it go. I am a fan of rare laserdiscs especially ones that still don't have a dvd or bluray release officially. I'm sure this has bootlegs on dvds but unsure if it's a bootleg of the vhs or laserdisc. I also know there's laserdisc captures of this online but they're not nearly as good in quality compared to the actual release. Analog source is a tricky source when it comes to laserdiscs. From what my eyes are showing me it appears laserdiscs look their best when being played on an actual laserdisc video quality wise. I also believe people aren't using the best capture devices to capture analog sources.

I didn't think it was worth all that much. I only paid $20 for mine. A Local record store has this LD for $15NZD. Never would watch so never brought

skyjedi2020 wrote: Just how rare are the Korean Indiana Jones Laserdiscs. I had purchased Temple of Doom without an OBI and suddenly i see a seller has Temple with OBI, and Last Crusade with Obi. But at 90 dollars each they can keep 'em. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) [SLC-017C] and other Korean releases are quite rare because they were reserved for the South Korean market only and the country had little interaction with the rest of the world by the mid-90's. SAMSUNG basically ported LaserDisc from Japan to South Korea. Took 3 years after LDDb.com launched to get a first mainstream movie released in Korea listed here: Back to the Future (1985) [SLC-010C]Julien
