That will be a very big challenge. Your best chance will probably be to use the Yahoo Japan auctions or sales Web site.
Check the LDDB information for your player, and any other sources you can find, to get the exact part number for the stylus that you want. Also, look at other National-brand VHD players, and maybe other brands, to find out if other brands or models used the same stylus as in your model 830. Then, save searches for those model and part numbers on the Yahoo Japan site, and other online auction/sales sites perhaps, so that you will get messages if any of the matching model or part numbers appear.
It may also be worthwhile to learn about inspecting your stylus with a small microscope-type device. Such devices are available (in the USA, at least, but made in China) at low prices. Your stylus may be in good condition.

Check if this is identical to yours. That would be a VDS-1100 you are looking for. Attachment:

dejavu wrote: Tell me where I can buy a stylus (needle) for National 830? Don't spend too much money on this VHD hobby, you will never find any new parts, maybe luck out and find one or two. Japanese didn't keep that much stuff in their storages, not enough space. Good luck my friend.

dejavu wrote: Thank you. But not like this. I need the one in my photo. Couldn't find anything except for the VDS-1100 searching in Japanese. Is there a part # on the player of the cartridge? You're better off getting another player for parts... or just another JVC/Victor player with more easily available used parts. Julien

Julien I found the number of this stylus. TXZNX19008 But I couldn't find the stylus, the one in the photo was sold.

dejavu wrote: Google hasn't helped yet...) At least it found the one from 2023. Bing => There are no results for "TXZNX19008" DuckDuckGo => No results found for "TXZNX19008". Yahoo Japan => Same as Google Unobtainium? Julien

dejavu wrote: Maybe there is someone for sale on this forum? I would be surprised if anyone on this forum has this part available to sell. LaserDisc collecting is already a niche hobby in which collectors struggle to find working players/replacement parts. VHD is a even smaller niche. Keep that Yahoo! Auctions search running and be patient, because it might literally be months (or years) before you get any hits for this part number. Best of luck.

Yep, almost 40 years since the last player was made in 1987, you are pretty much SOL to find anything. Nobody here will have parts, maybe disclord but hes been gone for years now. Nobody else ever took the dive into VHD and you need to focus on stockpiling players now no matter if working or not. Learn how to fix or the VHD hobby will become a very expensive hobby to give no satisfaction or enjoyment but headaches and sorrow.

Inside case, you just started collecting, discs have been poorly stored for the past 40+ years.
