Perhaps you could submit that as an update to the LDDb listing for this release. STAY AWESOME! cessnaace, Your saying we should all go though our LD collection at rocket speeds and put all the max running time of each side into database. That would take months/years depending on each collector massive LD collection.

Do you mean 64 mins or 63? The screenshots show 63. If it's 64 then I think Alive steals the crown from Star Trek: The Pilots [PLTES 34071] disc 1, side 1 (63:55) The shot of sneakers you posted at 63:54 looks like the credits are still going. Were there a couple more seconds on there or did the disc end with that still on screen?

Well it was late in the morning I was doing this. 63.11 on ALIVE so SNEAKERS clocks in a 63m.54s. No more seconds left on the end credits of SNEAKERS, it said "END" as it usually does say when a laserdisc reaches the end. By the way, I used to own the PAL pressing of THE ABYSS but sold it around the early 2000's for the PAL DVD. Also there was a noise buzz or hum on of Lt or Rt tracks forget which but I guess it was right channel? Playing HEAT but the 3 CLV sides don't clock in any higher than BLADE even though HEAT 171 mins.

Side A: 57:30 Side B: 59:44 Have just watched the player display - actually not connected to a TV - so can't say which is the film lenght, but should be around 116m - while the original time was 149m: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095053

*spooky thread-necromancy sounds go here* from https://web.archive.org/web/20000309122 ... 37,00.html: Quote: What's the maximum time I can record on a Laser Videodisc ?
On a CAV recording the absolute maximum is 35:42 for a CAV and 63:39 for CLV. What has to be done to fit the longer programs on the disc is reduce the space between the rows (tracks). This of course makes the disc susceptible to assorted problems most notably crosstalk. We have done many discs for customers with extended, non-standard, program lengths. All have been the CAV format, and so far all have been fine. Nonetheless, all non-standard discs come with the same "take as is" caveat. Further, CAV recordings greater than 31:15 (56,250 frames) and CLV recordings greater than 61:00 would be done as "factory experiments" with associated delays.
(Imation only handled NTSC, BTW, and stuck with pure-CLV, not CAA)

Looks like Net, The (1995) [EE 1085] is another generous PAL release with both sides above 63min! Julien
