Looks like a CLD-D502 rebadge to me. How much do you like the one you've got? ;)

Yeah, I can't say I know anything about it but I'm pretty sure I have a mid grade Pioneer with that exact cover and rear panel.

Interesting, it has a Direct CD button but no dedicated 5" drawer. Were there Pioneers like that? I've never seen one.

Denon LA-2100 is my main player at the moment, but recently (within the last week), it's stopped auto-flipping.

I replaced the belt last summer, but unlike when it wouldn't autoflip then (the machine basically froze when attempting to do flip), it's not just stopping fully and not even trying to autoflip.

Is there some sort of setting that I have toggled off, or is something broken that I'm not seeing?

You might need to clean the grip ring on the spindle motor.

I occasionally get an issue on my Pioneer, CLD-2090 clone (same chassis as the LA2100) where the unit is about to start the flip cycle and it does flip based on what I hear but the player doesn't brake the disc in time and thus stops functioning. I have to wait for the disc to completely come to a stop (which could take a minute or longer) and then eject the disc to reset the unit and it would work fine again.

Also, do you hear a squeal sound when the player attempts the flip? If so, could still be the loading belt or a greasing issue.

If the disc is not slipping definitely re-grease the guide rail.

Thanks for the advice, what would you recommend using for a grease?

The issue you're describing there is what it was doing originally before I replaced the belt (thanks to your help), there's no squeaking that I'm hearing this time around.
