This hatred for Chaplin’s masterpiece is uh…well, it’s not the only opinion Forper has held in common with Nazis. Banned from Spain to Chicago, that movie pissed off a lot of people when it came out, a lot of people who history proved to be totally wrong. Nobody is as wrong as Forper though.

Wait, are we talking about the Charlie Chaplin movie The Great Dictator (1940) or the Sacha Baron Cohen movie The Dictator (2012)? Mind, it's still an unhinged response by Forper even if it's the latter.

I do like both but was talking about the Sacha Baron Cohen version. 8-)

Ah…I haven’t seen that one so I guess I’m the Hitler, scheiße.

I did see Borat 2, which was pretty great for what should have been an impossible sequel.

.MKV to Eizo CS2740

A man with spatial disorientation syndrome and difficulty shaving the gap in his moustache at the centre of his face is forced to murder his cheating, success hungry wife.

Bonus points for the modular shelving in the super awesome LA house they share with some dude with a mercedes. Vitsoe is European enemy shelving. This is no Vitsoe. Vitsoe ripped off Nelson...

Guess the movie!

Jack escorts an enemy of the United States to the Brig. Successfully incarcerating an enemy of the State (although morally wrongly and illlegally providing comfort to this convict scumbag who stole from a charity) Guess what movie:

Lately my kid has been super into Scooby Doo. I'm not a huge Hanna-Barbera fan but because I'm an American of a certain age I've seen every single one of the GD Ps of S, at least until the mid 80s so I can relate.

As a kid I used to watch this one episode with the Neapolitan ice cream ghosts all the time and as we went through his DVDs I was expecting to see it but its not in Scooby Doo Where Are You. Its also not in the "Movies" series with the guest stars and such and its not in the Scooby Doo Show (the first series to get rid of the cool music and what would later become Where Are You Season 3 in syndication). I looked it up online and found that I was remembering an episode called The Ghost of the Bad Humor Man which originally was part of the Scooby Doo Dyno-Mutt Hour and that's how it was sold on DVD.

I remember Dyno Mutt and Blue Falcon looking really cool from ads but the show being total trash and that's about right. Its better than a lot of HB crap but its not very good.

The intro is the syndication one, so the Scooby Doo theme doesn't have the Dyno Mutt line in it that I think I remember from when I was a kid when it was an hour long show shared between them.

We watched the ice cream episode, it was what I remembered. We both laughed and ate cheap store-brand Neapolitan ice cream like we used to in the 70s. Its later period so the music is all corny horns and such, no power pop. It wasn't amazing but at least every other episode on this disc is something other than Scooby Doo.

Angry parents were the worst thing to happen to Hanna-Barbera. They used to make reasonably cool superhero shows like Space Ghost, Birdman and the Galaxy Trio, but apparently some PTA groups complained and that's why their superhero fare turned into watered down crap like Dynomutt. I mean the 1960s HB superhero shows are extremely tame by today's standards, but they definitely capture that silver age comic book cheesiness well enough to work for me.

Also I think that alternate intro you mention hasn't seen the light of day in decades because one of those lost media groups turned up with a film scan of it.
