If anyone has one to sell, I’m looking to purchase the Pioneer GGV1069 test disc, or one of the previous pressings of it such as GGV1012, GGV1015, etc. Thanks for the help!

I'd recommend just ordering it from pacparts, even though it's a bit pricey. I don't think any copies have turned up on eBay lately.

Price went up to $79.80.
Was $58.50 when I purchased it last year.

But not available anymore from PacParts either:

https://www.pacparts.com/part.cfm?part_no=GGV1069&mfg=Pioneer
Availability: Not in stock.

That stock status has been that way for quite a while, that means they *think* Pioneer still has stock. I think I ordered two under that status and got them.

And yup, the price has gone up :(

edit: I checked parts.pioneerelectronics.com and they still say ggv1069 is in stock (they just won't let random people order off their site anymore) - interestingly the 12" version (ggv1016) is still listed as in stock, but pacparts says it's NLA.

Order placed at PacParts. Let’s hope they’re able to get it. I can always cancell the order, so if anyone is willing to sell it at a better price, I’m still looking.

Only authorize service people? I think i've encountered that when trying random parts I need.

Dönberg Electronics has it in stock at the time of writing. I bought it between November/December this year and it was cheaper at their shop than Pacparts.

instrumentalparts.com seems to have some reference discs left, but for a lot of money:

GGV091 - $262.25
GGV091B - $223.75
GGV113] - $262.25
GGV120 - $262.25
GGV125 - $285.25
GGV135 - $262.25
GGV138 - $262.25
GGV141 - $262.25
GGV145 - $560.00
GGV1001 - $259.75
GGV1006 - $158.50
GGV1008 - $88.50
(PAL discs and out-of-stock discs not listed)

By the way, that website is strange. They claim to a lot of crazy stuff in stock (brand new lasers for the PR-7820, LD-ROM test discs). I wonder if they really do. Also, how do they set those very specific prices?

There also appear to have been a few reference discs sold on eBay in October for $25 each. If you are willing to wait a long time, maybe you'll find one on eBay.

Couldn't you still use a PAL disc to calibrate a combi player or do you have to have both?

Thanks greenlaser! I searched that sight for 1016 but didn’t think about other discs. I was able to get 1008 and is has the exact same frames as the later discs. Are they different in anyway?

I think all the discs are be pretty similar.
Meanwhile, a GGV disc has appeared on eBay! https://www.ebay.com/itm/334631827233

This is not the case, I know some players need some discs to get them into spec but don't know which ones, just remember techs
and grasshopper mentioning this that you need special discs for certain players.

Additionally, some players require 8" discs due to the pots being below where a 12" would fit

For the record, X player's service manual should be the go-to for what test disc you really need

From what I've seen, GGV1069 is considered the most "compatible", but as rein-o said quite a few players were meant for a specific disc in mind

I'm checking this thread out, and I was wondering, what so many different model numbers/versions of the Test Disc? Are they all different?

I see some of the discs have the same exact frames listed. Do you know what makes them different?

Not all, some are re-pressings of earlier discs but some are different.
There are discs with 8" and 12", PAL, NTSC and MUSE. Some older only have analog tracks, newer also digital ones.
